Meet Thomas M. – a passionate cyclist from Munich who braves all types of weather. He uses MOBIX to earn tokens while promoting sustainable transportation. Thomas is no stranger to taking risks for his passions. In fact, he once famously spent 12 Bitcoin on a pizza. Now, he’s using the MOBIX app to earn MOBX tokens while sticking it to the man (aka cars).
Q: What is your name and where are you located?
A: My name is Thomas M. and I’m from from Munich, Germany.
Q: Which micromobility vehicles do you use
A: I always use my bicycles to get around.
Q: How long have you been using MOBX and how do you typically use MOBIX?
A: I’ve been using MOBIX for three weeks to commute. And on Sundays I also accumulate points. I’m actually on my bike every day.
Q: In which seasons/temperature ranges do you use your micromobility vehicles? What was your hottest / coldest Day with MOBIX?
A: As far as I’m concerned, there’s no such thing as bad weather. I have cycled in temperatures as low as -14 degrees Celsius and as high as 38 degrees, with my lowest temperature reading with MOBIX being -4 degrees Celsius.
Q: What’s the craziest thing you experienced during your MOBIX trips?
A: With the exception of a few risky moves, my daily cycling routine through the city is relatively uneventful. Nonetheless, I am looking forward to participating in a #CriticalMass* event on March 31st to earn more MOBIX points.
*Critical Mass is a global gathering of cyclists that occurs spontaneously and draws attention to their right to share the road with motorized vehicles. It is a decentralized, non-hierarchical event with no designated leaders, and anyone is welcome to join in the cycling protest.
Q: Where would you like to spend your earned MOBX tokens?
A: Hmm, that’s a good question. In the early days of Bitcoin, I once spent 12 Bitcoin to buy a pizza. Nowadays, I’m more focused on finding sustainable investment opportunities that allow for local payment options.
Q: Which shop should become the next MOBIX Market Partner?
A: I want bike shops to become MOBIX Market Partners, of course 😅
Thomas heads the Munich “Kartoffelfahrt,” which transports homegrown potatoes to those in need using cargo bikes, making it an exciting event. His bikes he assembles at Premuim Bikes in Munich.
